Managing Staff Whiteboard
The staff whiteboard (as well as the Board whiteboard) is a casual means of communication, likened to a message board in the faculty lounge. The Whiteboard is visible on the staff members’ homepage. It shows the most recently posted messages.

View All Messages
To view past messages which are no longer visible click on the ‘All messages…’ link, located at the bottom right corner of the whiteboard messages field. Staff members can enter messages in the field and click on the ‘Post Message’ button.
Modify Messages
Administrators can manage the Staff Whiteboard by accessing the page by clicking on the ‘Communication’ item on the left side menu, then click on the ‘Manage Staff Whiteboard’ link from the dropdown menu.
The Manage Staff Whiteboard page opens. Here, you can:
- Post a new message
- Modify a previously posted message
- To modify a message, check the select box next to the desired message and then click on the ‘Modify’ button. Edit the text of the message, and then click on the ‘Save Message’ button to save the changes and repost the message.
- Delete Messages
- To delete a message, check the select button, and then click on the ‘Delete’ button. SOIN will confirm that you want to delete the message(s). Click on the ‘OK’ button to complete the deletion process.
- To delete all messages from the Whiteboard, click on the ‘Check All’ link, and then click on the Delete button.
